La Place Rendez-Vous clinched the top seed for the playoffs in local men’s basketball league play Monday night at Fort High, edging Boston Pizza 84-83 in the final game of the regular season.
Josh Mastin had 37 points to pace the Vous, which finished the regular season with a 10-2 record.
Steve Windels scored 27 points for Boston Pizza, which left the squad in second place with an 8-4 mark.
The early game Monday saw Taggs win by forfeit over the Muskies, meaning both teams finished the regular season at 3-9.
The semi-finals will get underway this coming Monday (March 26), with Boston Pizza taking on the Muskies at 6:45 p.m., followed by the Vous versus Taggs at 8 p.m.
The championship game is slated for Monday, April 2.
