Vianets (6-1) saw their bid for an undefeated season fall by the wayside Monday night when they lost 73-65 to La Place Rendez-Vous (5-2) in Fort Frances Men’s Basketball League action at Fort High.
The league’s previously only undefeated squad squandered a 22-point advantage en route to their first loss.
Toby Munro led the Rendez-Vous with 19 points while John Sivonen scored a game-high 23 points for Vianets.
In other men’s league action Monday night, the Fort High Muskies (3-4) denied Taggs (0-7) their first win of the season in a thrilling 59-57 battle.
Travis Stromness and Morgan Anderson each had 10 points for the Muskies while Darren Tunguzzi netted a game-high 31 points for Taggs.
League action resumes this Monday (Jan. 22) at 6:30 p.m. at Fort High.
