Fort Frances native A.J. Tucker was named the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association’s Player of the Week on Jan. 20.
Tucker, who plays for the St. Scholastica Saints out of Duluth, tallied seven points, including a five-point performance (four goals and one assist) in the Saints’ 7-2 win over second-ranked Wisconsin-Superior.
Tucker also notched a goal and an assist in the team’s 6-1 win at Northland College earlier in the week.
This marks the second time this season Tucker has earned the nod, having also nabbed the award back on Dec. 3 after a four-point weekend at the St. Norbert Thanksgiving tournament.
He followed up his most recent award with a goal in a 2-2 tie on Jan. 23 against Wisconsin-Stout, then added a goal and an assist in a 3-2 win over River Falls the following day.
