Trio rolls to bowling tourney title

The champions’ opponents could have doubled their score and it still wouldn’t have made a difference.
Theresa Olson, along with her youth teammates, Caitlyn Thomson and Eric Bois, turned the PeeWee/55-Plus bowling tournament here Sunday into their personal playground—posting a +207 total to win by a staggering 108 pins.
The event teamed one member from the local 55-Plus league with two PeeWee league members in a straight pins-over-average format over three games.
Thomson—sporting a 114 average entering the day—was the biggest over-achiever of the trio after registering a +96 total with scores of 127, 161, and 150.
Bois, also with a 114 average, chipped in with a team-high single of 184.
Mary Gushulak and teammates Lena Morelli and Chris Beauchman narrowly hung on for second with a +99 total—just one ahead of Marg Kerber, Tyler Myslicki, and Amber Townson.
Ruth Caldwell, Tylar Leepart, and Caitlyn Fletcher were close behind in fourth place (+94) while Aileen Fraser teamed up with Brandan Johnson and Kendra Duffy for fifth (+86).
Mildred Bedard, who had the high single of the tournament with a 211, joined Oryn Albanese and Natasha Petawanaqueb to take sixth (+53), followed by Emma McLean, Aric Supinski, and Jasmine Haney (+50).
Marvin Olson, Joey Ballan, and Melissa Fletcher landed in eighth position (+35) while Angie Podgorski, Lyle Dolph, and Teanna Silander were next (minus-28).
Joy Legarie, Brendan Morand, and Tylyan Silander rounded out the standings (minus-40).
