A Fort Frances man has been fined $2,500 for trapping violations.
Ralph Boettcher pleaded guilty to two counts of failing to comply with the conditions of his trapping licences and was fined a total of $2,500.
Court heard that in 2015 and 2016, conservation officers investigated Boettcher’s trapping activities for his registered trapline north of Fort Frances.
The officers determined Boettcher had failed to meet the conditions of his licences with respect to the harvesting of beaver and did not trap any fur-bearing animals during this period of time.
Justice of the Peace Bernard Caron heard the case April 4 in Thunder Bay.
