In boy’s basketball action, the seniors were routed 76-25 by the Saints while the junior squad was dealt a 68-30 setback.
The senior girls’ volleyball team also was in tough as it got swept 3-0 by St. Thomas Aquinas.
The junior spikers were the lone squad to come away with a win on Monday in dispatching the Saints 2-0.
Rainy River was slated to resume league play today against the Ignace Falcons at RRHS, but it will be rescheduled due to the one-day OSSTF strike.
All four Owls’ squads’ next action will come next Tuesday (Dec. 17), when they host the Atikokan Voyageurs for their final NorWOSSA league games before the holiday break.
