Tough holes sink Thomson

It was a rough day on the links for Christin Thomson at the CN Canadian Women’s Tour stop yesterday.
The local golfer shot an 88 (16-over) to place her 84th after the first round at the Blue Springs Golf Club in Acton, Ont.
Three holes in particular gave Thomson trouble, as she double-bogeyed the ninth, triple-bogeyed the eighth and quadruple-bogeyed the 18th.
Thomson saved par on eight of the 18 holes.
Entering today’s second and final round, Jennifer Greggain leads at -2, while Courtney Erdman is hot on her heels at -1.
