Thunder sweep Bulldogs

The Borderland Thunder remain undefeated in the SIJHL play after sweeping the host Thunder Bay Bulldogs on Friday and Saturday, giving them a 9-0-1 record and first place.
The Thunder fired 57 shots on the Bulldogs en route to a 9-0 victory Friday night, netting three goals in each period.
Goal scorers were Aaron Boyer (two), Josh McAndrew (two), Andrew Dault, Tyler Barker, Clayton Windigo, Bryan Schallenhammer, and Steve Sus.
Tyler Gordon made 22 saves for the shutout to earn his sixth win of the season—tops in the league.
Then on Saturday, the Thunder unleashed 53 shots to secure a 6-3 win, scoring twice in each period in that one.
Dave Gooch, Sus (two), Schallenhammer, Boyer, and Tyler Kaemingh were the Thunder snipers.
Tim Higbee made 19 saves for his fourth win on the season.
The Thunder next will be in Dryden on Wednesday night to face the Ice Dogs, then will return home this Friday (7:30 p.m.) and Saturday (5 p.m.) for a two-game series against the K&A Variety Golden Hawks (Thunder Bay).
