Thunder hit the road

The Borderland Thunder will look to remain unbeaten in SIJHL play when they square off against the winless Thunder Bay Bulldogs tonight and tomorrow night at the Fort William Gardens.
The Thunder, who sit atop the league standings with a 7-0-1 record, shut out the Bulldogs 7-0 and 6-0 here last weekend, outshooting their opponents by a whopping 103-49 margin.
Thunder forwards Josh McAndrew (seven goals/five assists) and Dennis Morrison (five goals/seven assists) are tied for first in the SIJHL scoring race while Tyler Gordon leads all goalies with five wins and a 1.18 goals against average.
The Thunder’s next home games will be next Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively, when they host the K&A Variety Golden Hawks, who currently sit in fourth place with a 1-4 record.
