Barwick, Sabaskong, and Manitou all improved to 2-0 in Rainy River District Fastball League action Tuesday night.
Barwick cruised to its second-straight blowout, drubbing Northwest Bay 23-5.
J.J. Landry took the win for the Blue Knights while Terry Smith was tagged for the loss.
Kevin Gemmell went deep three times for Barwick while Josh Mann blasted a pair of home runs to lead the offensive surge.
Meanwhile, Sabaskong doubled the Big Grassy Braves 12-6.
Donald Copenace got the win while Brian Hook suffered the loss.
Manitou was led by a trio of Debungees in its 10-9 squeaker over Big Island.
Elvis Debungee took the win on the mound while Charlie Debungee and Wade Debungee both hit home runs.
Ruben Gibbins was stuck with the loss for Big Island.
The final game of the night saw the Big Grassy Lightning strike Stratton 8-4.
Ryan Kirkrude went deep for the victors while Jeff Morrison got the win.
Rob McGinnis was saddled with the loss.
The game between Sight & Sound and Rainy River was postponed.
League action continues tonight as Sight & Sound hosts Northwest Bay, Barwick visits Big Island, Rainy River battles Manitou, and Sabaskong meets Stratton.
Lastly, the Big Grassy Lightning and expansion Big Grassy Braves will write the first chapter of their rivalry.
