Local golfer Christin Thomson did not qualify for the CN Canadian Women’s Open at Winnipeg’s St. Charles Country Club yesterday.
Thomson participated in an open qualifier, shooting an 11-over 83 to fall well short of nabbing one of the four open slots in the tournament, which begins Thursday and runs through Sunday.
Kirby Dreher of Fort St. John, B.C., along with Marina Choi of L.A., Maria Laura Elvira of Argentina, and Amie Hartje of Valencia, Calif., all qualified with an even-par 72 to round out the 156-player field.
