The winter air was filled with white last night—but Team White wasn’t able to fill the basket as much as they had hoped.
Josh Mastin netted a game-high 44 points to lead Team Black (5-0) to a 120-103 win over Team White (1-5) in the first of two games in the Fort Frances Men’s Basketball League on Tuesday night at J.W. Walker.
John Reller did his best to keep Team White close, almost matching Mastin shot for shot before finishing with 42 points.
Team White then had to go right back out to face a rested Team Red—and gave them a great run before falling 81-76.
Brad Wardas notched a game-high 31 points for Team Red (2-3) while Jake McIntosh led Team White with 26.
In related news, the league is planning to switch its game nights back to Mondays at Fort High to try and attract more players.
