The top two teams in the local men’s basketball league squared off on Wednesday night at Fort High, with Taggs edging out Boston Pizza by a score of 64-59.
Jacob Mackintosh led the way for Taggs, who moved into a tie with Boston Pizza for the league lead with a 7-3 record, with 16 points while John Sivonen and Adrian Chapman both scored 17 points in the loss.
In the earlier contest on Wednesday, Justin Anderson scored 25 points to help give the Muskies a 69-57 triumph over the Rendez-Vous. The win moved the Muskies to a 5-5 mark for the season, while the Rendez-Vous fell to a league worst 1-9 record despite a 21 point performance from Brad Wardas.
League action resumes this coming Wednesday when the Muskies take on Boston Pizza at 6:45 p.m., while Taggs will square off against the Rendez-Vous at 8 p.m. Both games will take place at the Fort High gym.
