tagg’s improved its league-leading record to 6-0-1 for 13 points in the men’s Borderland soccer play with a 4-2 victory over ‘AAA’ on Monday at Westfort.
‘AAA’ currently sits in second place with a 3-3-1 record, followed by the Falls (2-3-3), ITS (2-3-2), and Nova (1-5-1).
The score from last night’s game between Nova and the Falls was not available by press time.
Stoppa Bosko (‘AAA’) leads the way with seven goals. Mike Webb (tagg’s) has six goals while teammate Olaf Ruppenstein is next with five.
Toby Munro (ITS) has four goals, followed by Thor Ruppenstein (tagg’s), Dale Chambers (ITS), and Mark Venechenko (Nova) at three.
In women’s Borderland soccer league action, Gillons’ and Causeway remain deadlocked for top spot with 3-0-1 records after playing to a 3-3 tie Monday.
The Merchants and MEC are tied for third spot at 1-2.
Last night’s score between MEC and the Merchants also was not available as of press time.
Laureen Cousineau (Gillons’) is the top scorer with 10 goals, followed by Kristina Tolen (Causeway) with eight and Amy Wilson (Gillons’) with four.
Sue Thomson (Gillons’), Keira Main (MEC), and Carrie Selin (MEC) each have three goals
Tonight’s action has the Merchants taking on Causeway at 7 p.m. at Westfort.
