Wayne Strachan will be back with the Borderland Thunder this season, the team announced this morning.
The 29-year-old will be the new assistant to general manager Brent Tookenay and director of player scouting with the team. Terms of the deal were not given.
Strachan had coached the Thunder last year but had been undecided on whether to return for the past six weeks.
He could not be reached for comment by press time.
The move capped off a busy week for the Thunder, who are gearing up for their rookie camp here next weekend, Aug. 9-11. Greg Madill joined assistant coaches Sean Taggart and Neil Cooper alongside head coach Dave Allison on Tuesday.
Borderland’s main camp is set to start Aug. 31.
