The Borderland Racing Association is roaring again for another season.
Brody Strachan of Emo never trailed as he blew away the competition to win the opening WISSOTA Modifieds feature Saturday night at the Emo Speedway.
With the win, he now has the early points lead with 110.
Brady Caul of Fort Frances was second while Jeff Davis of Devlin took third place.
Cody Ossachuk of Fort Frances, meanwhile, captured the Midwest Modifieds feature.
Dayton Brady of Devlin was second while James Lambert of Fort Frances came third.
And Tylar Wilson of Fort Frances took the checkered flag in the Street Stocks division.
Andrew Piilo of Nolalu finished in second, followed by Darren Wolframe in third and Jyllian Westover of Fort Frances in fourth.
Racing resumes this Saturday, with hot laps at 7 p.m. and the first heat starting at 7:30 (weather permitting).
In racing action elsewhere, Matt DePiero and Phil Gavel (both of Fort Frances) finished 11th and 12th, respectively, in the Modified feature at the Hibbing Speedway on Saturday.
At Olgivie Speedway, meanwhile, Jamie Davis of Devlin was eighth in the Midwest Modifieds feature.
On Friday, Jeff Davis of Devlin and Tyler Jonson of International Falls finished 12th and 13th in the Modifieds feature at Gondik Law Speedway in Superior, Wis.
Brady Caul was 14th.
Tanner Williamson of Fort Frances was seventh in the Midwest Modifieds feature while Wyatt Boyum of International Falls placed ninth.
