The top three teams in the Fort Frances Women’s Volleyball League held true to form last Thursday night as they sharpened their games in anticipation of the upcoming playoffs.
The first-place Die Hards had a six-point night to increase their season total to 89.5.
Gillons’, the nine-time defending league champs, and Scared Hitless also posted six points each to remain deadlocked in second place with 88.
Sabaskong looks to be firmly entrenched in fourth spot with 74.5 points, with the Wildcats in fifth at 66.
Meanwhile, the Power Paks (53) maintained their slim lead over the Squirts (52.5) for sixth place, with both teams going pointless last Thursday night.
The Mixed Nuts (32), The Placers (20.5), and the Rookies (15) round out the 10-team league.
Action resumes tonight at 7 p.m. at Fort High and Robert Moore School.
