Fort Frances native Steve Arpin had one first-place finish under his belt over the weekend.
Unfortunately, he peaked early as he was unable to parlay the pole position on the starting grid into a victory—finishing seventh yesterday at the ARCA circuit’s Allen Crowe 100 at the Illinois State Fairground.
Arpin finished 9.8 seconds behind winner Patrick Sheltra, and remains mired in 13th place in the overall ARCA standings with 2,335 points.
Overall leader Frank Kimmel has 3,205.
