Katie Beninger and Maggie Jean continued their early-season dominance–each scoring twice to help Kicker Instinct remain undefeated in Borderland Women’s Indoor Soccer League play with a 6-4 victory over Goal Diggers last night at Fort High.
Beninger leads the league with seven goals while Jean (last year’s top scorer) is right behind with six.
Becky Selman also had two to give her three for the year for Kicker Instinct (4-0), which is six points clear of the rest of the field.
Paige Nelson drilled a pair for Goal Diggers (1-3) while Adyson Wilson-Hands and Katie Stearns each netted one.
Meanwhile, D-Feeters broke a three-way tie for second after beating Tough Enough 4-1 in the night’s other game.
Charmaine Langlais notched a pair of goals for D-Feeters (2-2), with Jaymee Fiset and Tiffany Dolk also scoring.
Sara Roach got the lone goal for Tough Enough (1-3).
Action continues next Wednesday with Goal Diggers taking on D-Feeters at 7 p.m., followed by Tough Enough against Kicker Instinct at 8:15 p.m.
