The Muskie football team is in full swing with its main training camp–and there’s plenty of room to join the fun.
Practices are running all this week and on Monday from 4-6 p.m., then will go from 3:30-6 p.m. starting Tuesday with the beginning of the new school year.
The practices are open to anyone attending Fort Frances High School.
As well, there will be a meeting of the Muskie Touchdown Club this Monday (Aug. 28) at 5:30 p.m. at the high school.
All parents and guardians of prospective players this season, as well as any other community members, are welcome to attend.

Three members of the local Boundary Waters Dragon Boat Club looked right as home as guests in the boats of other teams over the weekend.
Annely Armstrong-Thorstad helped the host Island City Dragon Boat Club to a second-place finish in the Club Women’s Division at the Minocqua Dragon Boat Festival in Minocqua, Wis.
Island City clocked in at 1:21.06 to trail only Off the Edge (Winnipeg), who took top spot (1:19.61).
Greg Thorstad and Dr. Mike Wu, meanwhile, were aboard with Motley Crew, which captured fourth place in the Club Mixed Division with a mark of 1:17.49.
The Boundary Waters team reunites to head to the Lake Superior Dragon Boat Festival in Duluth, Mn. this Friday and Saturday.
The local club is coming off a fourth-place finish at the Lake Bemidji Dragon Boat Festival–despite having only 16 available paddlers out of a possible 20 allowed in each boat.
