Chelsea Kabatay’s first venture into the college volleyball world was a good news/bad news scenario.
The former Muskie helped the Rainy River Community College Voyageurs to a 2-2 record in their first action of the year at a pre-season event in Fergus Falls, Mn.
RRCC started with a 3-0 defeat of the Anoka-Ramsey Golden Rams and a 3-2 nail-biter over the Itasca Vikings on Friday.
But on Saturday, the Voyageurs were beaten 3-0 by the Bismarck State Mystics, then were swept again by the Minnesota State-Fergus Falls Spartans.
