A meeting will be held this Sunday (June 12) for players and family members of the Muskie football program.
Interested players are urged to attend the meeting, which will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Fort High football field, where representatives of the Muskie Touchdown Club also will give a brief presentation.
In related news, the spring football camp begins today (June 8) from 3:30-5:30 p.m. It will continue tomorrow (June 9) from 3:30-5:30 p.m. and June 12 from 4-6 p.m. before wrapping up June 13-15 from 3:30-5:30 p.m.
For students entering Grade 9, there will be tryouts on Monday, June 27 and Tuesday, June 28 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Interested players for these tryouts also are urged to attend the June 12 meeting.

A reminder that skeet shooting takes place every Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at the Fort Frances Sportsman’s Club range by Frog Creek. New shooters are welcome.

Tomorrow (June 9) is the final day to submit an application to the Fort Frances Minor Hockey Association for positions as ‘AA’ coaches, league conveners, and a referee-in-chief.

‘AA’ Hockey Camp is now accepting applications for its annual camp coming up here July 25-29.
The camp, now under the sole ownership of Dave Allison, is aimed at those in the Atom to Bantam level (age nine-15). Two girls’ camps (for those aged eight-11 and 12-15) also will be held.
The cost is $280.

A reminder the M.E.C. fish derby runs until Aug. 31. There are three categories to enter in (northern, walleye, and crappie) and no weigh-in is required. There also is a children’s category.
