The local under-14 club volleyball program put up a solid fight in its first competitive tournament.
The program split its girls into two teams for a tournament in Portage la Prairie, Man. over the weekend.
Team #2 won six of 10 sets over the weekend while Team #1 captured just one.
Team #2 opened with a split against Sioux Lookout, winning 25-13 before falling 25-23.
Then they swept Sargent Park 25-18/ 25-19 before suffering a 25-19/25-17 defeat at the hands of the Whiskey Jacks.
Team #2 rounded out competition with a split against West Kildonan, winning 25-22 before losing 25-17, before sweeping the Badgers 25-13/25-19.
Team #1, meanwhile, suffered sweeps by Sargent Park (25-12/26-24), the Pioneers (25-11/25-18), and host Portage la Prairie (25-20/25-9) before splitting with John Taylor, losing 25-16 and winning 27-25.
They rounded out play with a 25-16/25-19 loss to Langenburg.
