Some holes opened at Kitchen Creek

A dozen of the 18 holes at Kitchen Creek golf course were re-opened over the weekend, with the pro shop predicting a full opening within the next day or so.
The six holes along Kitchen Creek—#7, #8, #9, #10, #17 and #18 (under the new holing system)—remained closed because bridges were completely washed out in the aftermath of last week’s storms.
“They’re currently pulling gravel to build bridges upon,” noted associate club pro Glen Mills.
All the other holes are back in usable condition, with golf carts being used with little resistance this morning.
“The course dried up very well. It’s actually in great shape,” said Mills. “We should be up and running by [Thursday], for sure.”
