Being the new guy can be tough but Sulley Bakh made it much easier on himself.
Having recently joined the team, Bakh netted the game-winner as Pharmasave forged its first winning streak of the season with a 2-1 victory over the La Place Rendez-Vous U18 Voyageurs in Borderland Soccer League men’s division action last night.
Tyler Ruppenstein had the other goal for last-place Pharmasave (2-12-2).
Kevin Metke notched the only goal for the Vous (6-5-3).
With the loss, the Voyageurs missed a chance to break a tie for second place with ITS (5-3-5), who had their game against Manitou (9-2-4) postponed last night.
ITS will play the Vous on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the final scheduled game of the regular season, although there also will be a number of make-up games next week.
The playoff semi-finals are slated for Aug. 11, with the bronze-medal game going Aug. 12.
The gold-medal game will be held Aug. 13.
