‘Snake’ racks up another win

“Snake” Krawchuk added his name to yet another trophy Sunday as he captured the overall championship of the annual Memorial golf tournament, held in remembrance of Kitchen Creek members who have passed on.
The tournament originally was scheduled for May 30, but rain forced it to be postponed until this past Sunday.
And rain almost washed out the tourney once again, but the 36 golfers braved the weather conditions and stormed through what ended up as an interesting, but good, day of golf.
“I was happy. I had some bad shots, but I still need help with my putting,” said Krawchuk, who carded a 73 to take top honours in the “Harry Barefoot” Memorial Flight (championship flight).
Krawchuk already has enjoyed success on the links this season, winning the Senior Classic and then taking second place in the championship flight of the annual Kitchen Creek Classic.
