A total of 16 competitors were divided up into eight pairs for the annual Labour Day horseshoe tournament at Pither’s Point Park on Monday, which saw the tandem of Ray Smith and Bonnie Councillor come away with the victory.
Albert Cochrane and Stewart Allen finished in second place, with Tim Grinsell and Dennis Bruyere taking third and Norman Cyr and Lorne Smith coming fourth.
Fifth place went to Bruce Black and Stephanie Councillor.
Rounding out the standings were Wendy Smith/Robert Wood, Armand Jourdain Sr./Lavana Fox, and Darwin Johnson/Chuck Saunders.
