Katie Sinclair is getting back to her old scoring ways.
The Fort Frances native had a season-high four points to lead the Lakehead Thunderwolves to a 10-3 shellacking of the Wisconsin-Stout Blue Devils on Sunday in ACHA Division 2 women’s action.
Sinclair’s second-period goal put the Wolves up 3-1.
She then set up Jordyn Paris’ goal later in the frame before adding assists on third-period markers by Farrah Nicholl and Sarah Dodic.
The previous night, Sinclair netted the game-winner in a 3-0 victory over the Blue Devils.
Sinclair has three goals and five assists in nine games for the Thunderwolves, who this season became the first Canadian team to join the ACHA women’s hockey circuit.

Both Fort Frances players on the Campbellton Tigers (Maritime Hockey League) got on the scoresheet recently.
Forward David Pryde garnered his first assist of the season last Friday in a 4-1 victory over the Valley Jr. ‘A’ Wildcats.
Fellow forward Hunter Leishman, meanwhile, assisted on Tristan Young’s tally for Campbellton’s only goal in a 2-1 loss to the Summerside Western Capitals on Saturday.

Defenceman Jon Carlson of here notched his first assist of his sophomore season for the Fredonia Blue Devils on Saturday in a 6-5 win over the Brockport Golden Eagles in NCAA Division III.
Carlson set up Marcus Ortiz at 5:10 of the second to make it 3-1.

Jared Bethune of Fort Frances improved his point output again this week for the Prince George Cougars (WHL).
The forward assisted on a third-period goal by Jesse Gabrielle to help the Cougars to a 4-2 win over the Victoria Cougars on Saturday.

The Thunder Bay Minor Midget ‘AAA’ Kings won three of four in the North American Prospects Hockey League last weekend, with plenty of contributions from local members of the roster.
Forward Nick Hahkala had the game’s opening goal in a 5-1 win Saturday against the Northern Cyclones.
All three Fort players were blanked in a 3-1 loss to the Rocky Mountain Rough Riders later that day. But they were back with a vengeance in a two-game sweep on Sunday.
Forward Cooper Witherspoon assisted on both goals, including Hahkala’s opening tally, in a 2-0 win over the St. Louis Selects.
Then Hahkala set up Witherspoon in a 4-2 triumph over HC Dallas.
Forward Ethan Jourdain also scored as part of a four-goal second period in that one.
