The local marksman started his year off with a bang by delivering two perfect rounds of 25 during the opening of the skeet season May 6 at the Fort Frances Sportsmen’s Club range at Frog Creek.
Kennedy outdistanced the 11-shooter field by sandwiching his two perfect scores around a round of 21. He was one of four shooters to finish three rounds during the evening.
Len Noonan scored rounds of 22, 21, and 22, while Brian Mueller started somewhat slow with scores of 19 and 18 before putting together a strong round of 22 in his final effort.
John Sether of International Falls, the only non-local among the competitors, got better as the night went on, registering rounds of 19, 20, and 21.
Ted Brockie managed rounds of 18 and 20, while Ed Clark and Andy Moulton each posted scores of 20 in their only rounds of the evening.
