A Fort Frances native will join the list of greats who have left their mark on the St. Louis sports scene.
Former Fort Frances Canadians’ player Bill Selman will be enshrined into the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame on Nov. 20 after he and his St. Louis University Billikens men’s hockey teams, which he coached from 1971-78, were selected for the President’s Choice Award.
Selman, who also coached three other U.S. college teams, will join this year’s impressive list of honourees.
They include Brett Hull, Joe Torre, and Keith Hernandez.
