Anniss Seid swept Mike Brady in three-straight sets to win the ‘A’ championship of the Sunset Country Squash Club’s annual junior tournament yesterday at the Memorial Sports Complex.
The tourney title was a fitting reward for Seid given he didn’t lose a match in either the first or second round of the round-robin, besting Donny Brown (3-2/3-1) and Brady (3-0/3-0).
In other action, Anika Alexander beat Ryan Brady 3-2 to capture the ‘B’ division title while Gavin Moorhouse topped Jordie McTavish 3-1 to win the ‘C’ crown.
Katie Sinclair took home top honours in the rookie competition.
The Sunset Country Squash Club now will focus on preparing for the 20th-annual La Place Rendez-Vous tournament here Feb. 16-18.
