Second discount card blitz on tonight

If a group of football players come knocking at your door tonight wearing their jerseys, it’s not because they’re getting an early jump on Hallowe’en trick-or-treating.
Rather, the Muskie Touchdown Booster Club is conducting a second “blitz” night to sell its discount cards.
The cards, which cost $30 each, feature various discounts at 12 local businesses (nine in Fort Frances and three in Emo) good until May 31, 2005.
There is no limit on how many times you can use your discount card during that time period.
The club’s first “blitz night” held earlier this month was hampered by a torrential rain storm.
While this evening’s forecast doesn’t sound great, the club hopes Mother Nature holds off long enough so the players once again can go door-to-door across town to sell the discount cards.
The cards are the major fundraiser of the Muskie Touchdown Booster Club to help run the varsity (‘A’), Bantam (‘B’), and PeeWee (‘C’) teams.
The black-and-gold are in Winnipeg tomorrow afternoon to face the Churchill Bulldogs in quarter-final action of the ‘AA’ conference of the WHSFL.
