Scared Hitless moves into first

A steady climb in the standings has paid off for Scared Hitless, who now rule the rest of the Fort Frances Women’s Volleyball League.
With a five-point night last Thursday, Scared Hitless took over first place with 67 points—edging past former leader Alliance and Gillons’ Cougars at 66 apiece.
Alliance had its second two-point night in three weeks of action to lose their grip on top spot.
The Cougars, meanwhile, managed four points last Thursday to stay within striking distance of the lead with five weeks left in the regular season.
Notorious D.I.G. earned five points last week to sit in fourth place at 57.
By The Balls was a no-show for the second-straight week and remained in fifth (51).
Defending champs Dig This was one of two teams to get the maximum six points last Thursday to move up to sixth (49), blowing past Kiss My Pass, who only chalked up two points and is seventh (48).
Bump It Up also was headed in the right direction—claiming eighth spot with a six-point night of its own (41).
That moved them past Ball Busters, whose three points were not enough to avoid slipping to ninth (39).
I’d Hit That was skunked for the second time in three weeks to stay 10th (19) while SMASH suffered its fourth whitewash in a row to remain 11th (16).
That now has them within range of the cellar-dwelling Kiss My Ace, who garnered three points for the second-straight week to improve to nine points overall.
Most of the league will take a week off, with no games scheduled at Fort High tonight due to the NorWOSSA girls’ volleyball and boys’ basketball playoffs.
But games at St. Michael’s still are slated to begin at 7 p.m.
