The Fort Frances Jr. Sabres handed out individual awards at a well-attended dinner at the Adventure Inn here Saturday.
Head coach Wayne Strachan said the most important hardware is the one they hope to obtain together later this year, but here were the winners announced Saturday:
•MVP—Ryan Faragher
•Best forward—Chris Sinclair
•Best defenceman—Rod Bouchard
•Rookie-of-the-year—Mike Boese
•Most sportsmanlike—Mitch Cain
•Most improved—Kenny Carpenter
The Sabres, their families, and their billets also were treated to a video tribute compiled by Tom Foley that featured the best plays from the regular season.
