Sabres acquire new goalie

The Fort Frances Jr. Sabres went fishing for some goaltending depth and reeled in Kyle Ruhl from the Ontario Junior Hockey League’s Orangeville Crushers.
Ruhl, 18, appeared in five games with Orangeville, going 0-1 with a 3.88 goals against average and a .875 save percentage in what is considered a high-scoring league across the board.
“We need to get some good, positive competition in our goaltending situation,” Sabres’ head coach Wayne Strachan noted.
“We will be busy this week trying to get some players before the Dec. 1 [trade] deadline,” he added.
