The Rainy River District Fastball League will hold its annual all-star game tomorrow (Sept. 7) at 7 p.m. at Couchiching.
Team No. 1 will be led by Travis Tom (Fort Frances Braves) and JJ Landry (Barwick Blue Knights) at the pitcher’s spot.
Other Blue Knights on the team include Mike Anderson at second, Ryder Woolsey in the outfield, and Kevin Gemmell as one of the catchers.
The other catcher is Kyle Copenace (Sabaskong Lakers), with Tim Windigo (Windey’s Warriors) at first, Ryan MacDonald (Couchiching Raiders) at short, and Sheldon Kelly, Jr. (Raiders) at third rounding out the infielders.
The rest of the outfielders include Aaron Caul and Nick Wepruk (Sight & Sound Wolves), Faron Morrisseau (Raiders), Ben Smith (Northwest Bay Juniors), and Jackson Arpin (Stratton Eagles).
Team No. 2 features John Desaulniers (Wolves) and Jeff Morrison (Dawson Tigers) on the mound, with Matt Godin (Tigers) getting in as the starting catcher.
Around the rest of the infield is first baseman Pearse Jackson (Blue Knights), Parisien at second, shortstop Shelby Nosan (Eagles), and Brad Wakefield (Blue Knights) at third.
The outfield includes Dakota Andy (Braves), Nick Hunter (Warriors), and Connor Ivall (Rainy River Royals).
Jaden Gustafson (Braves) is in as a utility player while coming off the bench will be Don Smith (Northwest Bay Chieftains), Darryl Beacham (Sabaskong Goldeneyes), and DJ Mosbeck (Blue Knights).
