RRDFL all-star game set for tomorrow

The Rainy River District Fastball League’s annual all-star game will be played tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Big Grassy.
Rosters for the two teams were unavailable as of press time.
In league play last week, teams have been making up rain-outs by playing “double-win” games.
The Bulldogs made the most of their make-up time, beating Rainy River 6-3 last Tuesday and then dumping Sight and Sound 19-4 on Thursday in a double-win game to improve to 6-8 on the season.
The Rainy River Legion Royals still lead the pack with a 14-2 record, well ahead of Hyatt’s Contracting (11-3-1) and Barwick (11-5).
Pinewood (8-6) has leapt over Big Island (7-7-1) for fourth-place. The Bulldogs are next, followed by Sight and Sound (5-9-2), Stratton (3-12), and Big Grassy (2-12).
Of reported games, Guy Arpin (Rainy River) has moved into a tie with teammate Don Gall and Barwick’s Travis Derkson for the league lead in home runs with five.
Murray Armstrong (Rainy River), the league’s top pitcher with a 13-2 record, has four home runs for a share of second place with Kevin Gemmell (Barwick).
