The Rainy River Community College Voyageurs women’s hockey team remains in second spot in the latest ACHA rankings, which were released over the weekend.
The defending ACHA national champs, who are 5-0-1 in ACHA play so far this season, garnered 53 votes in the latest rankings.
They trail the top-ranked University of Wisconsin-Stout Blue Devils by a mere five points.
South Dakota State, Minnesota-Duluth, and Alaska round out the top five.
Following a holiday break, the Voyageurs return to action Jan. 13-14 when they host the University of Alaska.
Friday’s game will take place at Kerry Park Arena, with Saturday’s contest set for Bronco Arena.
