Ringette teams bounced at Kenora tourney

The Emo Bandits Tweens ringette team lost 5-3 to Park City (Winnipeg) in the bronze-medal game at a Keewatin-Kenora tournament Sunday.
Sarah Barton scored twice for Emo while Stephanie Strachan netted the other marker.
The Bandits opened with an 11-2 defeat to host Kenora to open the tournament Friday, then were blanked lost 10-1 by Park City and 8-0 to Norberry (Winnipeg).
Barton scored all three goals for the local squad.
Meanwhile, the Emo Bandits Novice team finished with a 1-4 record at that same tournament–also losing the bronze-medal game 12-8 to Niverville (Man.) on Sunday.
The Bandits opened action Friday with a 6-5 win over Kenora but then lost 7-2 to Dryden, 9-1 to Ste. Anne’s (Man.), and 7-6 to Niverville.
The local goal scorers were not available.
Both teams will see tournament action this weekend in Atikokan.
