It’s been a great start to the season for the La Place Rendez-Vous.
Jaida Norris, Greta Fedoruk, and Alyssa Faragher each scored twice to pace La Place Rendez-Vous to an 8-2 romp over Al’s Racquet Stringing in Borderland Soccer League women’s division action on Tuesday night for their third-straight win to start the season.
Claire Hyatt and Maggie Jean also found the back of the net for the Vous (3-0) while Hailey Beaudry earned the win between the pipes.
Issy Taylor and Sara Kellar replied for Al’s (0-3) with Phyllis Pierson suffering the loss.
Last Tuesday (June 11), Fedoruk netted a hat trick to pace the Vous to a 9-0 drubbing of Al’s.
Rochelle Douglas, Norris, Kaylyn Levesque, Rindy Veldhuisen, Nicole Rogozinski, and Gwen McDonald also tallied with Beaudry again nabbing the win.
Pierson allowed all nine of the Vous’ goals in taking the loss.
Al’s will look for its first win of the season when the two squads battle again on Tuesday at 7 p.m. (weather permitting).
In men’s division action on Monday night, meanwhile, Centra Pipelines improved to 2-0-1 as they fought to a 1-1 draw with CJ Contracting.
Max Williams scored for Centra while Tyler Hamm and Gavin Richardson shared keeper duties.
Kevin Metke replied for CJ (1-1-1) while Jacob Albright manned the pipes.
Thomas Lepine and Cam Gobeil each scored twice to pace Centra to a narrow 4-3 win over Manitou Forest Products last Thursday (June 13).
Hamm and Richardson again manned the pipes to share the win.
Connor Nelson, Declan Webb, and Marlon Douglas all tallied for Manitou (0-3) with Mark Faragher suffering the loss in goal.
And back on May 10, Ian Jodoin scored twice to lead CJ to a 3-0 shutout of Manitou.
Aaron Bujold also bulged the twine while Alex Gustafson nabbed the clean sheet in goal.
Faragher took the loss for Manitou.
CJ and Manitou were to square off last night, with the outcome not known as of press time today.
Men’s division action will resume on Monday when Centra takes on Manitou at 7 p.m. (weather permitting).
