The Fort Frances Girls’/Women’s Hockey Association crammed a few more action-packed games into their stocking before breaking for the holidays.
Monika Ruppenstein, Jade Belluz, Elizabeth Cousineau, and Courtney McCoy as scored as the Fort Frances AtoMC Icebergs blanked the Emo Express 4-0 last Friday.
Meanwhile, Marti Woods netted four goals to lead the Fort Frances PeeWee BDO Stars to an 8-1 victory over the Atom Gillons’ team (Fort Frances Minor Hockey Association) on Monday.
Eva Morrisseau and Makenna Hill added a pair of goals each.
No goal scorer was provided for Gillons’.
A busy night of action on Tuesday included the Fort Frances Novice Tim Hortons Bruins earning a 6-1 decision over the Emo Express.
Marlee Bliss notched a hat trick while Ophelia Lucas-Engberg (two) and Aelise Lucas-Engberg also tallied.
Meanwhile, the Icebergs blanked Emo 3-0, with Piper Miller lighting the lamp twice.
McCoy had the other Fort goal while Maddie Bliss recorded the shutout.
Emo did net one win—edging the Stars 5-4.
Hill led the way with two goals while Woods and Amelia Davis added singles for the Stars.
No goal scorers for any of the Express teams were available as of press time.
