RBC Financial Group once again is partnering with the Riverside Foundation for Health Care to organize its fourth-annual RBC Charity Golf Classic.
It’s slated for Saturday, June 26 at Kitchen Creek Golf Course.
The funds raised this year are being designated to support cancer programs at Riverside Health Care Facilities, Inc.
“Whether it’s a program to raise awareness about cancer prevention, a diagnostic tool to help detect cancer, or equipment to administer treatment, it’s an important cause,” stressed Heather Johnson, the RBC’s branch manager in Fort Frances.
Johnson said RBC staff members volunteer their time to put this event on because they are committed to making a difference in local health care.
“We selected Riverside because they provide programs to prevent, detect, and treat cancer right here in the Rainy River District,” she noted.
“This illness affects many of our friends, family, and loved ones and we want to do what we can to enhance these services, close to home.”
Foundation director Teresa Hazel is pleased to be working with RBC Financial Group for the fourth-consecutive year.
“It’s a first-class golf tournament and we really do have a lot of fun,” she chuckled.
“We have had outstanding support from the community the past three years and we anticipate another successful event this year.”
