Fort Frances native T.J. Pocock was named the Manitoba ‘AAA’ Midget Hockey League’s defensive player of the week for his effort in a pair of games for the Kenora Thistles.
The 17-year-old stopped 38 shots in 4-3 loss to the Eastman Selects last Wednesday (Dec. 10), then turned in a stellar performance in the Thistles’ 6-3 win over the Parkland Rangers in Dauphin, Man. on Sunday.
Pocock currently is in Grade 12 at Beaver Brae in Kenora.
