Playoffs set for men’s basketball

The Fort Frances men’s basketball league wrapped up regular-season play on Monday night and now is poised to kick off its post-season schedule.
La Place Rendez-Vous was on the winning end of a 100-65 score against the Muskies thanks to an 18-point contribution from Derek Dowty.
The Muskies were led by Morgan Anderson and Garnet Cornell, who each chipped in 13 points.
In a surprise result, the season-ending contest between the Vianets and Taggs was defaulted by both teams.
The league will halt play over Easter, but will resume Monday, March 31 with the opening round of playoffs.
As a result of their regular-season records, the top-seeded Vianets will take on last-place Taggs at 8 p.m.
The early game (at 6:30 p.m.) will pit the Vous against the Muskies.
