The fourth-annual Tim Perreault Memorial golf tournament at Heron Landing (Couchiching) was a huge hit on Saturday—with 118 golfers taking part and helping raise more than double from a year ago with $15,699 going to the charity in Perreault’s name.
Pauline Perreault started the charitable foundation in her son’s name after he died of chronic pancreatitis in 2005 at the age of 31, and was thrilled with the response from the community this year.
Perreault hopes to plan a charitable dinner for the foundation this fall.
Taking home the top prize was the team of Sheldon Kelly, Sarah Kelly, Gary Skead, and Nick Skead.
The foursome of Kevin Webb, Andrew Bynkoski, Travis Green, and Jason Green took second place in a countback, followed by Harry Morrisseau, Lauren Morrisseau, Mel Larson, and Earl Klyne in third.
Team “Dump Bear”, consisting of Taylor Jorgenson, Mike Sande, Kevin Bobczynski and Kyle Turgeon, finished fourth.
