The Fort Frances ‘AA’ PeeWee hockey team travelled across the river to face the International Falls Broncos last weekend and came home with a 3-0 win.
David Pierce (assisted by Tyler Miller and Larry Pham) opened up the scoring in the first period.
After a scoreless second, Pham and Alex McQuarrie netted unassisted goals in the final period to seal the win.
Also last weekend, Warroad brought down its novice team to go head-to-head with Pollard’s Scarifiers in girls’ exhibition action–with the Fort Frances squad earning a 5-2 win.
Lauren Pierce led the way with a hat trick, with Katelynn Stearns (Shae Lynn Smith) and Jessica Barker adding singles.
