The Fort Frances Canadians PeeWee ‘AA’ team has a case of the morning blues.
After being blanked 4-0 by the Sioux Lookout Flyers in Dryden back on Oct. 13, the Canadians dropped another early game there this past Saturday as they fell 5-4 to the Kenora Thistles.
James Gushulak, Garret Woods, Sullivan Shortreed, and Ian Tookenay scored for the Canadians.
But in their afternoon game, the Canadians exacted revenge on the Flyers as Spencer Murphy stopped every shot he faced in helping his team to a 5-0 win.
Gushulak led the way up front with a pair of goals.
The Canadians will return to Dryden for another pair of games this Saturday, where they’ll play the host Paper Kings at 10:15 a.m. and then the Thistles at 2:15 p.m.
