The Northwestern Ontario All-Stars will wrap up their appearance at the All-Ontario PeeWee championship in St. Marys today.
With the playoffs already out of reach, the All-Stars (0-5) will look to finish the tournament on a winning note against the 2-3 Nickel City Sons (Sudbury) this afternoon.
Nickel City has an outside shot at advancing to the playoffs, needing a win and a Gloucester Rangers loss to force a tiebreaker.
The All-Stars dropped a 3-2 decision to the Kingston Jr. Frontenacs yesterday afternoon before being blanked 4-0 by the Rangers last night.
Local players Tyler VanUden, Jared Bethune, Brandon Bodnar, Carter Brown, and Claire Sandelovich are on the All-Stars’ roster.
