PeeWee ‘AAA’ evaluation camp slated

The Northwestern Ontario Peewee “AAA” all-stars will be hosting a one-day identification and evaluation camp for players interested in participating in its 2006-07 program.
The camp will be held Saturday, Aug. 26 at the Keewatin Memorial Arena in Kenora. The camp starts at 10 a.m. and the fee is $30 per registrant, payable prior to the first on-ice session.
Each player will receive three hours of ice time, with the last on-ice session finishing at 5 p.m.
The camp is open to all Western Zone (Kenora, Dryden, Sioux Lookout, Ignace, Emo, Fort Frances, Rainy River, Vermilion Bay, Ear Falls, Red Lake, and Atikokan) registered PeeWee-aged players born in 1994 or 1995.
Individuals desiring to participate in the evaluations shall demonstrate the ability and skills to compete at an ‘AA’ level.
The team will be organized and administered by the Lake of the Woods Minor Hockey Association and coached by Dan Reynard, Dave Fisher, and Barry Reynard.
The branch championship is scheduled for Kenora in March, 2007, with the winner advancing to the all-Ontario championship to be held in Ottawa later that month.
