Join a Voyageurs National Park naturalist for the second-annual “Women in Winter” program this Sunday (Dec. 7).
Learn about the history of snowshoes and the purpose of different styles. Afterwards, if snow conditions permit, snowshoe two miles on the Oberholtzer Trail (snowshoes will be provided).
The program starts inside at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center and runs from 2-4:30 p.m.
Visitors are encouraged to come out and browse through the museum and bookstore, as well as check out the winter displays in the interactive area.
